About KidLit Librarian
KidLit Librarian is a living digital archive built for educators, librarians, and literacy specialists who believe every picture book, easy reader, chapter book, middle grade novel, graphic novel, verse title, real story, and young adult work can serve as the heart of a curriculum. The library hosts hundreds of carefully curated titles, each paired with a ready-to-use teacher's guide, discussion questions, classroom activities, and downloadable lesson plans that align with ELA, SEL, and arts standards across grade bands from PreK through high school.
At the core of the platform is the Pace-Write-Read mastery curriculum, a writer's handbook of craft tools covering plot, pacing, and prosody. Educators can explore the Trifecta of Pacing through free chapters and a growing library of pacing activities designed to help students notice how stories are built and then try those techniques in their own writing. Learning Units group books and pacing tools around shared themes, while collaborative Classrooms give teachers and students a private space for discussion, assignments, reading streaks, gamified progress, and live trivia.
KidLit Librarian is built by a small team of educators, writers, and developers dedicated to putting high-quality children's literature and classroom-ready curriculum into the hands of every teacher. Whether you are looking for your next read-aloud, a downloadable teacher's guide, or a full curriculum library for your organization, KidLit Librarian is here to help every story become a lesson worth telling.
